Save the Children supports displaced families and vulnerable communities across Lebanon to access safe living conditions and essential services. Many families forced to flee their homes face difficult living conditions in temporary shelters or overcrowded spaces where basic needs are limited.
We provide shelter support and distribute essential household items such as blankets, pillows and kitchen sets to help families maintain comfort, safety and dignity during emergencies. We also promote safe shelter practices, including fire safety awareness and community education to help prevent accidents and protect families living in shared or temporary accommodation.
Alongside this, we deliver water, sanitation and hygiene programmes that improve access to clean water, safe sanitation facilities and hygiene services. These interventions help protect children and families from disease, improve health outcomes and create safer living environments. Our work integrates gender and inclusion considerations to ensure women, girls and vulnerable groups can safely access the services they need.
