Save the Children supports vulnerable families across Lebanon to meet their basic needs and protect children from the impacts of poverty and crisis. Many families are facing rising living costs, loss of income and ongoing instability, making it harder to provide food, healthcare and education for their children.

We provide cash assistance so families can buy essential items such as food, medicine and other necessities with dignity. Alongside this, we support families with nutrition counselling, financial education and livelihood opportunities that help strengthen their resilience. By working with communities, local partners and national institutions including the Ministry of Social Affairs, we aim to reduce economic pressures on families and prevent harmful coping strategies such as child labour or school dropout.

In partnership with local organisation ISWA, Save the Children in Lebanon organised a Healing and Education Through the Arts (HEART) session designed to help children express their feelings and strengthen emotional resilience through art-based activities. The session was held in a welcoming classroom space where girls and boys engaged in drawing, painting, and sharing stories as a way to explore themes such as trust, safety, and connection. This initiative is part of Save the Children’s broader psychosocial support work, fostering creativity, confidence, and emotional expression in a supportive group setting. With the support of Humanitarian Coalition Canada, Save the Children in Lebanon is providing winterization and hygiene kits to families in Baalbak, Eastern Lebanon, who have been displaced due to the Lebanon-Israel Conflict.
