What we do in Burkina Faso

Save the Children is one of the largest child-rights organizations working in both humanitarian and development contexts, alongside children and partners, to achieve tangible results so that children survive, learn, and are protected.

Save the Children, whose founder, Eglantyne Jebb, pioneered the codification of children’s rights, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019. We are present in more than 100 countries worldwide, including Burkina Faso.

Our vision is a world in which every child has the right to survive, the right to protection, to development, and to participation.

Our mission is to achieve lasting breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to bring about immediate and lasting changes in their lives.

Our values: Accountability, Ambition, Collaboration, Creativity, Integrity.

Our 2030 ambitions:

  • Survive: No child dies from a preventable cause before their 5th birthday.
  • Learn: All children receive a quality basic education.
  • Be protected: Violence against children is no longer tolerated.
